"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." -Martin Luther King Jr.
On the heals of such an exciting summer our staff now has the difficult task of planning what the next year will look like here at World Impact St. Louis. There are so many needs in this community--so many opportunities to serve. And yet, we must be wise with the resources that God has entrusted to us. Our deepest desire is to continue to share Christ's love in this community and to empower the local church to transform inner-city St. Louis for Christ's glory. Please pray for our staff as we solemnly weigh the needs of the community and the vision God has given us for our part in building His Kingdom. Pray that God will guide us as we plan programs and partnerships that will better serve North St. Louis, specifically in these areas:- Children's Ministry
- Youth Ministry
- Young Adult Ministry
- The Urban Ministry Institute
In Proverbs chapter 16 we are told, "Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established (v.3)" and "The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps (v.9)". And so, as much as we plan, ultimately we lay the future in God's hands and pray that He continues to direct our steps. Join us in that prayer.
Welcome to World Impact St. Louis' Prayer Blog! We are so excited to be able to keep you better informed about what is going on here in the city and we are deeply grateful that you are willing to partner with us in prayer!
Weekly updates will allow you to share in our praises and petitions, as the staff lives in and serves the community here in North St. Louis. The prayers of the saints are a beautiful and necessary part of what we do! Ministry would prove unfruitful without them. Through your prayers you can impact the city!

What a summer we had! We had 65 inner-city children come through our programs this summer. Through Backyard Bible Clubs, Cookouts, Fieldtrips, and an afternoon program at the World Impact Ministry Center, these children were able to hear about the love of Christ. Eight of them decided to make the important decision to follow our Lord and Savior! Praise God!
Throughout the entire summer each child had the opportunity to earn a week at a World Impact owned camp in Florence, Kansas, through attendendence and good behavior. The
children pictured below (Along with staff members Andrew, Adria and Beth and Summer Interns Brittany and Alison) are the eleven children who were invited to a week at Children's Camp for grades 3rd-5th and Junior High Camp for grades 6th-8th.
Pray that God would continue the work which He has begun in each of their lives. Rejoice with us over the eight who are now a part of the family of God and pray that they would stand firm in their new faith!
Thanks be to God for all that He has accomplished this summer!
